DataVow

Consent evidence for data and AI teams

Show where your data came from.

GDPR, US state privacy laws and the EU AI Act all ask the same question: prove the consent chain behind the data you buy, enrich or train on. DataVow measures how the web actually handles consent and turns that measurement into audit-ready evidence — starting with a free scan of your own site.

A scan is a first pass. It cannot prove compliance — but it is where the evidence starts, and every scan feeds a register nobody else has been building since 2026.

The instrument

Free scanners exist to sell you a banner. Ours exists to measure.

The Consent Checker is honest about its limits: it says plainly that no automated scan proves compliance. What it finds is evidence — named tags, timestamps, severity — and that evidence is what the paid products are built on.

Consent banner present

Whether the page serves a consent banner at all, and whether it appears before trackers get a chance to run.

Trackers before consent

The check that matters: which analytics and ad tags fire before any consent was stored. We name the tag.

CMP detection

Which consent management platform the site loads — and whether that vendor's scanner would tell you the same thing.

Privacy-policy signals

Whether a privacy policy is linked and reachable from the page being scanned.

HTTPS

Whether the site serves the page over a valid secure connection.
